NOT JUST SERVICES ... AN OBSESSION!

I don't just want to spout out features and services that I provide.  I WANT YOU TO REALIZE THE PASSION THAT DROVE ME TO FOUND THIS COMPANY.  

Actually, the MOST SIGNIFICANT SERVICES I offer are QUALITY, ACCOUNTABILITY, PEACE OF MIND, ETC.  

The actual work I provide is just like anyone else.  Many providers can cut a nice edge, put down attractive mulch, paint a nice wall, etc.  This is not rocket science.  Quality work can be done by many of us.

But, you can never tell when you look at a nice front yard or painted house, if there were calls not returned, contention, uncertainty, etc during the process--that part matters also!  

And..any tradesman can list their services and provide estimates, but most don't share the same reason as me that drives them.  I have  a specific cause and crusade.


With me, you're getting superior customer service, someone who is accountable, who communicates well with you and someone who "owns" his mistakes and makes it better.  And yes...OF COURSE you get awesome craftsmanship as well!

HERE IS ONE QUICK RECENT EXAMPLE:

Sound Familiar?

A potential client called me and asked if I could do a job.  I informed him that it wasn't my specialty and I'd have to decline.  BUT....I offered to help him find someone else.  I did a bunch of research.  I narrowed down three very skilled choices for this potential client.


But guess what happened next.  Yup, you guessed it.  NOT ONE OF THEM CALLED HIM BACK.  Unfortunately, this is all too common in the trades.  


I JUST GOT FED UP, AS A CONSUMER MYSELF AND AS A PROFESSIONAL IN THE TRADES, WITH BEING BLOWN OFF, NOT HAVING CALLS RETURNED, HAVING JOBS ABANDONED OR NOT DONE PROPERLY, AND MORE.


Something evolved out of this frustration with contractors/tradesmen:  I vowed to do the EXACT OPPOSITE of this behavior.  


BELOW ARE EXAMPLES OF WHAT YOU GET WITH ME:



YES, I REALLY DO THIS!

--I went to two different locations to pick out mulch for a client to choose from.  I put both samples in her driveway and let her pick one.  I DID NOT CHARGE FOR THIS TIME.  I wanted to make sure she got the color she was looking for.  


--I had a color consultant (paid for by me) go to a client's home and give her a comprehensive consultation to pick color for her interior paint.  Because it was such a large job, and a lot time and money was at stake for the client, I wanted to make sure she made the right choices from the outset.  Sometimes, those little color swatches and samples just don't cut it when so much is on the line!  And I did not just fold it into the overall price and "hide" the charge.


...Ok, a bonus example:  I quickly return calls and texts from clients.  Seriously, I'm not kidding.  You are not imagining this!  Customers love the communication they got from me, must as much as the quality work...


Many tradesman are super-skilled at their trade, but they may not be the best at running a business that deals with customers and requires customer service, follow up, head's up calls, apologies and accountability from a business standpoint.

So I started this company to make a difference.  This is not a "cheesy" and pie-in-the-sky statement.  I truly want to change how service is provided in the trades.  


MY PLEDGE:

  • I return calls--ALWAYS!  Even  if I can't do the job.  I hate when contractors don't call back!
  • I NEVER say "I'm too busy" after not showing up and not contacting you
  • I do the little things to impress you.
  • *I'm NOT a crew of workers in a rush to get to the next job.   I will ensure quality because...It's just me and I pay attention to detail and quality
  • I show up on time or let you know why I can't (...ahead of time)
  • I am accountable and own up to any mistakes instead of hoping you don't discover them
  • I will come back and fix and/or improve anything you're not happy with, within reason
  • I will always let you know if I'm qualified for your particular job, instead of trying to fake it.  

Sorry.  I have stopped referring other contractors.  I am just sick and tired of them not calling you after I give them your info.

As to references to my Perfect 5-Star Rating...I founded a different service company several years ago--full service dog care with hundreds of clients and several employees.  I, to this day, maintain a PERFECT 5-STAR RATING on all the review sites. So I have a history of perfect 5-Star service that I look forward to bringing to Brian T Burke & Co--And, yes...We're already accumulating 100% 5-Star reviews!

And...I worked in corporate America where I received formal customer service training and won national awards for service.  And yes, I have plenty of landscaping, painting and handy-type experience dating back to "last century" also!!!

Because of this experience, I realize the importance of top-notch customer care, communication, accountability, etc.
